Inspite of the weather, hundreds came out last Sunday for the grand finale of the Make a Joyful Noise concert series at the Grand Stand, Queen’s Park Savannah.

Notable during the Mass was the powerful rendition of ‘God Bless Our Nation’ for the Meditation by the 50-member choir and musicians. Choir leader Winston Garcia also unveiled a song written that morning called ‘Make a Joyful Noise’. It was such a hit, many approached him later for the lyrics.

Joyful noise everybody

Joyful noise (2)

The Archbishop say

Everytime yuh pray

Which is every day

Make a joyful noise

Joyful noise everybody

Joyful noise (2)

Mummies and daddies

Uncles and aunties

Little girls and boys

Make a joyful noise

After Mass, Archbishop Harris blessed the booths and later mingled with patrons who enjoyed the steel pan music of Valley Harps, Invaders and St James Tripolians and concert performances by Malick Folk Performing Junior Company, Nelson Street Boys RC drummers, Scarborough RC’s Speechettes, tenor John Thomas, Afeisha Lincoln, Paul Keens Douglas, soca star Patrice Roberts, vintage calypsonian Superior, and singer David Bereaux, parang champions Los Alumunos de San Juan, rapso group 3 Canal and The Love Movement.
