The concept surrounding the Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival is inspired by the North Sea Jazz Festival, a creation of Paul Acket, hich takes place in the Netherlands every summer.
The well known Aruba Jazz & Latin Music festival wich ook place from 1986 till 2001 could be seen as a predecessor of the new Caribbean Sea Jazz Festival. The Aruba Jazz & Latin Music Festivalwas an enourmous success, for the inhabitants and visitors of Aruba alike and a similar festival was needed on the Island Aruba.
